What about the bent press as an assistance for the clean and press?

Recently I posted a question about assitance exercises concerning the clean and press (i’m just going to call it the press). I realized I was actualy asking two different questions so thanks to any one who may have answered before, I’m asking here so my question can be better understood.

What I’m curious of is if bent pressing is a great way to assist in increasing my pressing ability for competition. My gut fealing is "yes" but then I’m historicly pretty bad at increasing my pressing strength. I know just about any arm work will help (just about, not all) but given that I’ve had difficulty in the past, I don’t want to be including anything that isn’t great assistance work for the lift, "good" or "helpful" won’t cut it here.

Thanks in advance. I’m currently doing an 8 week cycle that once done I’ll be looking to switch to assistance exercises for some variety and want to make sure I’m focussing on the right things.
