Comrades,
I am sure everyone of us has experienced or seen the bent knee collapse during the get up phase of the TGU. I have tried to address it in my own movements, and can manage it (with a load) cleanly on the right side, but not on my left side. If I try to be very conscious to keep my bent knee abducted during the get up, my straight leg comes up. This does not happen in the naked get up.
I read Com. Phil Scarito advising on practicing a get up with a door between the knees, but this is a little difficult for me, practically speaking.
Can you please share your wisdom? I don’t want to continue to get up in ugliness.
