I have some young athletes (junior high age girls) performing sets of the triple extension swing as shown in Easy Strenth to get them ready for vertical jumping. Volleyball season is just starting. What exercises, if any, would you suggest having them do to see some improvement in their jumping? They all do short sets of jump rope on a daily basis. Really short sets, one minute forward and one minute backwards plus they of course do spiking drills and some general conditioning type sprints. Their KB work has been cut back to one day of swings and one day of get-ups. Swings for total of ten minutes and get-ups for five. The ten minutes of swings includes rest periods and are not all triple extension. So..is there a good exercise or drill I should implement now that could increase their jumping height, during the season, or wait until after volleyball is over?
