I have the kettlebell video but not the book. I apologize if this point has already been raised, but should you squeeze the kettlebell handle as tightly as you'd squeeze a bar when lifting PTP style? I was really banging up my forearms with the cleans and snatches, but when I started crushing the handle as hard as I could, my form improved and the KB started dropping against the forearm much more gently.
I realize that gripping hard is not all there is to "catching" the kettlebell at the top. However, the tighter grip makes it easier to "snake" the arm under the KB as Pavel seems to do in the video (particularly in the snatches).
