The Best Snatches of my Life (so far…)

You’ve probably heard it a thousand times and you’ve probably poo-pooed it a thousand times; it’s in ETK, it’s in Jordan’s Corrections DVD, and now I’d like you to hear it from me: If you’re having troubles with your snatches, take a step back and break them down into easy pieces. I finally did this today and it was awesome.

Here’s what worked for me:

Day 1) Set an egg timer for 12 minutes and perform two handed swings with perfect form. I worked for about two minutes and rested for one minute.

Day 2) Set an egg timer for 12 minutes and perform ladders of one arm high pulls with perfect form. I worked for about one minute and rested for one minute.

Day 3) Set an egg timer for 12 minutes and perform ladders of one arm high pulls 1-2-3-snatch and hold; check your form (feet, knees, hips, abs, shoulder in place, etc), repeat other side. REST AS MUCH AS NEEDED. Make sure your form is perfect.

My volume was considerably lower than normal, but my success rate was considerably higher.

Hopefully y’all will find this helpful. I’m looking forward to any constructive feedback.

All the best! BWD
