Snatching on etk medium and heavy days

The rational behind snatching only onight days seems to be that beginners aren’t able to handle higher snatch volume. I’ve been at kettlebells for over a year now, am
close to making the 1/2 BW C&P, but my snatching needs a little work. Lately I’ve been performing 40kg swings on medium and heavy days; would
it be advisable to start snatching the 24kg on these days instead?

To give an idea about my etk progress, completion of the press requires a press of the 40kg. I can perform several jerks and getups with it, but there’s a sticking point right off the shoulder I haven’t beaten yet in the C&P. Currently I’m doing ladders with the 32; on today’s heavy day I got 1(1,2,3,4) and 4(1,2,3).

My snatching is a little less impressive. I can get in 20 a minute for 2-3 minutes but after that the numbers start to decline, largely because I’m trying not to push myself as it’s
on a light day. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
