Anyway, I didn’t want to lose all the progress I gained on my snatch over the last 4 months but obviously with a hamstring strain, swings and snatches are out of the question for a few weeks. I decided to try the seated snatch and I love it. Obviously, I can’t get my hips and glutes into the movement as I do in the standing version but at least I can maintain (or even keep improving) my snatches while allowing this to heal. Fortunately, I can also still do squats, TGU’s, and all over head work. I think I’ll be okay. It’s already starting to feel better and the range of motion is slowly coming back.
