I have a friend that practiced Tae Kwon Doe with bad instruction for a period of time. Doing things like kicking air and hyperextending the knee were ritually practiced. Now he finds himself at 57 years old and having to limit his activity due to sore knees. He has always done a lot of walking, but his knees just keep getting worse. I suspect that kettlebell exercises like snatches and swings would provide rehab to his knees due to the lack of impact. I also feel this would increase his cardio and bring his energy levels up. Is this correct?
Also what other techniques will help damaged knees function well again with or without the kettlebell?
