Pull ups: legs straight or bent?

After spending alot of time with the CC pull up series, its almost time to move to step 5 (full pull ups). The issue I face, being a tall guy with long arms, is that there is no place or scenario in my house where I can do full pull ups with legs straight, as depicted in CC. Having been just able to do half pulls with straight legs, i’m liking how its feeling as opposed to bent legs. It is summer so something could be rigged up outside but with the crazy rains, and the threat of winter on the horizon, this would be a very temporary and unreliable solution.

I guess my question to the comrades is what do you find are the pros and cons of straight and bent legged pull ups. Being that I may be forced to do bent leg, (short of finding somewhere else entirely just to do pull ups), I’m curious what some of you have found. Looked a little online but this forum has some great athletes in it with some wise insight. A gym day pass pack would give me access to a bar high enough…..and i’m crazy enough to go just for that bar, but I should get some info first lol.

P.S. Not really looking for suggestions on a setup in my house as anything short of cutting a little head sized hole in the floor and doing creepy, peek a boo style reps up from the basement will work

Cheers
