Pttp and ETK Bi Weekly Switch

I have been doing the Pttp dead lift and bench press for 2 weeks and then ETK with man makers instead of the normal swing and snatch swing swing part for 2 weeks. I think this is an ok way to train. It’s major pro is that it hits a lot of places and get’s you strong all around. I thought the numbers all went up the way they were suppose too and the swinging is a good way to get muscle endurance and conditioning. Some hard running during the pttp part and your endurance builds nicely. The deadlifts gained 10 pounds each 2 week cycle. The pttp bench press went up 5 pounds every 2 weeks. I added a ladder each week I did ladders. My swings got better when ever I did good endurance maintenance during Pttp.
The first con I experienced was soreness each time I switched back to the kettle bell training. The kind of soreness you get from doing something new.
The second con is that even though the numbers go up it takes a month to go through one cycle with both programs so it basically feels like it takes forever. I think there are better ways to train then this way.

What I want to try now is just sticking to ETK ladders- for upper body every week. I want to keep switching between 2 weeks of man makers and 2 weeks of Pttp dead lifts. Since this is a 2 week switch between slow gear lifting and dynamic lifting it is by definition block training. The swings and deadlifts should have great carry over to each other as well. Durring the 2 weeks of man makers I am going to do one set of pttp dead lifts and light TGU’s on the variety days. Then I’ll report back here to post weather it worked good or not for anyone that may want to try it.
Any comments on my plan?
