I have your book Power to the People Professional and I find it very informative! I am also looking to apply the routines in there to advance my powerlifting training. I am really hoping that you would give me some advice on arranging the programming.
I am thinking about trying the bench program that utilizes set "series" (sorry – I don’t remember the name). However, I also want to do something for my squat and deadlift. I read in the book that you can run individual programs for the squat, bench, and "dead weight lift" instead of doing a single program that includes all three (like the ones in the first chapter titled "Total"). However, some programs (like the Smolov squat routine) have such a heavy workload that doing anything additional is not really possible (at least according to my understanding). It would be very greatly appreciated if you could help me figure out which routines would be good to combine and how to combine them.
