Pavel BBB page 253, BP technique clarification . .

To Pavel and any BP experts out there:

I have been trying to refine my BP technique for some time now. But for the life of me, I just don’t get the feel for " . . .pushing the bar towards your feet as if you are doing a decline press."

Is this a literal ‘to the feet’ (horizontal) push vs. up (vertical) – and the bar will move up due to the weight? Kind of like pulling the bar at an angle in the deadlift vs straight up?

I am too much of a wuss to actually try it with out getting clarification first. . .just thinking of how to explain any related injuries to my wife . . .

Any clarifications would be most appreciated!
