I have read in several different places about the benefits of woodchopping as an exercise. Lots of top boxers (De la Hoya and Foreman to name a couple) use wood chopping as a major part of their conditioning routine.
Kettlebell snatches vs. chopping wood?

I have read in several different places about the benefits of woodchopping as an exercise. Lots of top boxers (De la Hoya and Foreman to name a couple) use wood chopping as a major part of their conditioning routine. I even read in Men’s Health that chopping wood burns 23 calories per minute and is the best overall conditioner and endurance builder!
Does anyone have any ideas on how to replicate this exercise without chopping down the tree in my backyard? How do high rep kettlebell snatches compare to chopping wood? Would they give the same type of benefits?
