How to stop kettlebell from hitting forearm so hard?

Posted on 8/2/2005 at 7:46AM in Kettlebell Techniques.

I just got my 36 pound kettlebell today. I have to say the exercises were harder than I thought!

The only problem I have is that when the darn thing swings around and whacks my forearm, it really kills. I try to keep my wrist straight, but in the later reps sometimes, it gets pushed back just a bit. Any suggestions? I hear the 56 pound kettlebell is a bit easier on the forearm because it is a bigger sphere and a greater surface area hits the forearm. is this true?
