I did the under-leg pass from the Russian Kettlebell Challenge video, the exercise where you bend over and pass the kettlebell through your legs in a figure 8 motion. My back was hurting after doing this. What should my stance be while doing this? In what position should I have my back?

I did the under-leg pass from the Russian Kettlebell Challenge video, the exercise where you bend over and pass the kettlebell through your legs in a figure 8 motion.
My back was hurting after doing this. What should my stance be while doing this? In what position should I have my back?
