Comrades,

I’ve decided to throw in my lot with the Party, and I’ve started off by buying the Naked Warrior. I have a bad back so I can’t do much with regular weights, so it’s a good fit for me. I’ve been doing the exercises for about a week and a half now. I’m seeing definite progress. I started off doing my one-arm pushups on a 2-foot high inclined bench, and doing my box pistols on that as well. So far my strategy has been to practice each one until I can do five good reps and then take it up a notch, or down if you prefer. As in, going lower. The pistols are making good progress – I’ve graduated from doing the box pistol on the bench and am now working on going down lower. On the one-arm pushup, I can touch my chest to the bench with my right arm but I can only get about 3-4 inches away with my left (I’m right-handed). With my left arm I tend to lose my balance as I go down, and my weight starts to shift to the right onto my right leg where it gets harder to lower myself. I’ve tried moving my hand placement to the center to no avail. Not sure how I should approach this. Should I go on progressing with my right arm or wait for the left to catch up before I move on? Got any suggestions for correcting my left-handed OAP?

Thanks in advance.
