Kettlebells and Adding Muscle Mass

This is probably an old topic, but here goes. I am currently working on the PM with my goal being to gain strength and lose weight. I want to add muscle mass to increase my metabolism. While I love the cardio aspect of the PM, is it going to add muscle? I am currently doing 5 sets of 30 swings with 35lbs in 12 minutes and working on my TGU with 9lbs during the 5 minute session. 5 or 6 reps is my best effort yet. As you can see, my conditioning needs a lot of work. Any suggestions from the Party?
