Kasparov on Competition

“We all work harder, run faster, when we know someone is right on our heels. Some of my best performances came in the heat of close competition…..the inspiring powers of competition.”.. Garry Kasparov from How Life Imitates Chess.

Although my current motivation is going from PR to PR in PM and one arm swings, I know that I work hardest when preparing for a competitive situation. KB sports competitions have been on my mind and, no doubt, with time will become a reality for me. I have given myself a year to transfer strengths and skills from other training to kb as well as learning new grooves.

The IUKL makes provision for seniors age categories up to 80+ for men and 65+ for women. So one can enjoy the sport until much later in life.

Are there others who feel attracted to the sport aspect ?

PS I hope kb competitions become commonplace enough so that you can easily book a weekend event and enjoy a lunch outdoors with fellow comrades after competing.
