hundreds of wimpy reps

I am doing CC. Lately I have taken to doing long sets of the beginning exercises when I am bored where ever I am since the workouts themselves don’t really make me tired or really sore. For instance on pushups I am up to the incline pushups, so for the last week I have done about 300 incline pushups in sets of 30 all day in my office against my waist high desk, then I will do assisted squats for may 5 or 10 sets of 20 a day. At home whenever I pass my pullup bar I will knock out 10 or so vertical pulls…I might do 50 of those a day….and so on. I have noticed that this high volume of wimpy exercises…particularly the incline pushups are having an effect on my body. My chest is much more solid, and my biceps have gone from about 18" to nearly 19" in the last week. It is interesting that these easy exercises can cause hypertrophy in someone who has persued high volume weight training (kettlebells) for some time now.
