I have been weightlifting for years, but have slacked off for the last couple years. I was doing alot of powerlifting routines, but age and injuries have forced me to cut back. At the age of 51, and with the history of heart problems(no male on my dad’s side of the family has made it past the age of 55), I have decided to forego the heavy lifting and focus on getting back into shape. I need to lose weight as well as gain some stamina and energy. I have a kettlebell that I can start out with…but need direction….
I currently am 5′8" and weight 250#…way too heavy for my size. I have refined my diet, but now need some workout ideas….I have Pavel’s book and video "Enter the Kettlebell" and have been going through the various workouts.
What I am getting at is could somebody recommend a program to start out with, as far as excercises and frequency? I am currently doing a Tabata cardio routine, and it has helped greatly.
Sorry for the length, but could somebody help?
