Healing a hernia

Ok I have had the misfortune of popping an inguinal hernia a few weeks back. currently wearing a truss (loads of fun)((( I have heard of some people doing exercises and were able to heal this type of hernia rather than going through surgery. I have also read about guys that have had to have the same hernia surgically repaired more than once.

I’ve been working with kettle bells for nearly two years slacked off for the last years a bit due to family stuff. Prior I was able to do the senior RKC requirement of 100 snatches with a 20kg in five minutes. (I currently weigh about 180) and am 53 6′0" was hoping to be able to get on with a 24kg by summers end.

Right now I do curls and clean and press with a 12kg and floor presses with my 20kg afraid to make anything worse by using the heavy bell so just kind of trying to stay in place.

Anyway any thought ideas or concerns????
