Now, this is not to say big massive people don’t use KB’s because they do, but my question to them is, were they big massive people to begin with? It seems many big powerful folks come to KB’s after years of hard hypertrophy oriented work. My theory is that the big people using KB’s were big to begin with, and the KB and some supplementary work maintain that mass, and often help display it better due to some fat loss. Is this the experience of folks here?
I know there is talk of using KB’s different ways to gain mass, and I am sure some methods would be more favorable then others, and those who have under developed shoulders from not having worked out hard in the past will gain some shoulder mass, I am just having trouble believing that the mass will be significant.
An example is the 5’8 170lb guys who are pressing the beast for reps. If you go to a gym and see guys doing that with a dumbell, your gonna see a hoss.
Again, I think it is awesome that one can gain huge amounts of functional strength with KB’s, I am more or less making an observation, and looking for feedback from those who have been at it for a while.
