Whenever I do any kind of groin stretch (such as straddling the ground and then leaning forward), I feel a distinctive pull on the back of my right knee (on the edge closer to my adductors).
I do not feel it with hamstring stretches, or toe touching.
I do not feel it with the karate hip flexor-groin stretch (as long as I keep the back foot almost a full 90 degrees to the side… If I do 45, I feel the pull). It seems to happen when I stretch my groin AND the inside hamstring at the same time.
Is this what Pavel talked about with "weak knees"? What can I do? I want to work on my seated groin stretch from RIS (to improve my straddle handstand), but I’m afraid this will just worsen the knee… Any help? Anyone with the same problem?
