Grip Failure in Kettlebell Training

I am getting frustrated by a seeming physical limitation in my left hand grip while swinging and jerking kettlebells. The third and fourth fingers of the left hand always give out before I do, and I have to stop before I lose control of the kettlebell and accidentally squash the cat.

I've been to a couple of sports medicine types and was told I have a nerve impingement in my left arm/elbow and I'll just have to live with it. I've considered adopting a deadlift wrist strap for the left hand.

Is that in keeping with the Party spirit? Or is there some magical drill I could do for the grip?
