Right now…I don’t feel anything sore and feel refreshed.
Just curious is this is expected.
As background…
I did the P90X program at the end of last year. Each workout was intense. Had to have a mental attitude to finish each one. I would be pretty tired afterward.
While I was waiting to get Pavel’s book and my Kettlebell…I started the first week of P90X again (hadn’t really worked out in about 5 months). Have been sore all week from the first 4 days of workouts from the P90X in the areas of the body it was targeting.
Now today on the PM…I did 12 minutes of swings/rest today. My heart rate was definately up. That felt very good. During the swings, I could feel a burn in my glutes the most. Hamstrings second, and slight in the lower back. Nothing else was really burning.
But the 7th set of swings, I could feel my back starting to get tired. Not hurting, but fatigued…thought that was a good sign. Based on what I’ve seen in the FAQ’s, I think that good.
Now however, 7 hours later, feel like I’m fully recovered.no soreness anywhere.
I’ve read in the FAQ that TGU’s aren’t supposed to smoke you. But I didn’t really feel smoked after this mornings either. Don’t get me wrong…I was tired, felt burns during. But it seems to have a quick recovery. Actually, I felt completely fine after my shower which I took after working out.
Is that normal? Is that a sign that I need a heavier bell? Should I wait till tomorrow to see how sore I will be?
I’m 6′0" 175 lbs. wouldn’t describe myself as having a strong upper body, but I have always had relatively strong legs. Haven’t worked out in months, so the conditioning definately is not where it has been in the past.
I’m about 15% bf…so still a very healthy lean.
Just curious…should I feel smoked after a workout? If so…for how long?
This is my first workout with a kettlebell. I got a 16kg bell to start with. I guess my initial question is would I need a 20 already after investing in a 16kg?
