I am picking up the bells again and was hoping to get a bit of critique on my program.
Background: Body like a car wreck from football, martial arts and military.
I have lost 106 pounds since Dec of last year (now at 230) and am still working on losing more. (Weight loss has stalled since getting back into kettlebells but I feel that is mass and muscle memory kicking in) Workout as follows:
Mon: "The Bear" Deads
Tues: Program Min swings workout: 36:36
Wed: "The Bear" Side Press
Thurs: PM TGU: 25 each side (still working from 1/2 GU to full)
Fri: "The Bear" Deads
Sat: Program Min Swings workout 36:36 w/snatch practice 5L/5R until form is lost I try to keep the cadence high to strip off more fat.
Sun: Rest
I am also doing Pavel’s Stretching routine from Relax Into Stretch.
Two problems I have: Flexibility (body) and Pistols
I want to work more on both. However, I am a bit crunched for time. With the injuries, if I do a full stretch routine, I lose time for the workout. Also, I am having a horrible time with pistols!
No matter how much I stretch my calves/legs, I want to come up on my toes not matter how I force or stomp (destroyed my ankles in the military) Y’all know of any tips/tricks for this?
End result, is that I am shooting for RKC next year once I progress past ROP etc.
Any hints, tips, tweaks would be appreciated! Thanks for your time!
Sully
