Block Cycle Question- GS and Powerlifting

I did not want to hijack Nonstop’s thread about PTTP 5,3,2, but I had a question about block cycles, as Pavel has written about in ROTK. I don’t have ROTK, but as I understand it, he advocates alternating between two week cycles of grinds (such as presses) and ballistics (long cycle). Two weeks of quick lifts, two weeks of slow grinds. He says that two weeks is long enough to make progress in one, but not loose progress in the other. You can come back to the given lift two weeks later without losing strength in it, but yet get a layoff from the movement to focus on the other. Makes sense.

So here is my question. Would two week blocks work well for a person wanting to progress in powerlifting and GS? A two week cycle of bench presses, squats, and deadlifts, followed by a two week cycle of double jerks and snatches? It’s obvious that such a system would alternate grinds and quick lifts, but what about the special endurance factor in GS? Do you think that alternating two week cycles would bring progress in both kinds of lifting?
