I am looking for some advice in the Running department. My girlfriend has shin splints and plantar fasciitis from running. She has not run in a year due to this, went to the doctor for the p.f. and for the most part it has been alright. The recovery for p.f. was a boot to stretch her foot out during sleep and some general stretches and insoles during the day. She says it acts up on the occasion but is much better from where it was a year ago. She has laid off running due to the injuries, but told me she still holds some hope to run a marathon one day.
Does anyone have any advice for recover/drills she can implement to help with the shin splints or p.f. Also anything in general for her to safely get back into running.
