Let me start at the beginning, I bought a 48kg bell almost two months ago. While I can’t press more than 36kg I can do cleans and TGU’s with the beast. I have made beast cleans a staple of my workouts since I’ve had the bell. I recently worked up to 3 sets of 5 cleans per side with the beast, so I figured I’d try clean and Jerks with it. Jerks have never been a big part of my training, so I have a ways to go on the technique side of things. I could do one C+J with my right hand, but I found with my left the bell wants to fall out the bottom of he rack. On the first dip of the "double dip" I come down and start pushing up with my legs to get the bell in motion, but it doesn’t even want to stay even with my shoulder. I decided to go down to the 36 and practice my jerks with that, but even still there is a noticeable difference in the solidity of my rack on the left and right. I have a hard time just thinking this is a strength imbalance because my cleaning and pressing is
So here is my question, does this sound like a technique problem or a mobility issue? will practicing jerks help smooth this out or is there perhaps a better course of action to do here?
