A question Comrades about my journey…

First let me just say that I am so grateful that I found this community! KBs, Hardstyle, etc. are changing my life. I got ETK last October and have been pretty diligent following the PM and some of the ROP. I had a setback last December from a non-KB related injury but since mid January I have been cooking. I’m fortunate to live in Philly so I have been able to take advantage of Senior RKC Will Williams private instruction on two occasions in addition to all the valuable resources here on this forum.

So, I have decided that passing the ROP is a goal I want to reach. I realize it may take years. I have been alternating swing sessions between one arm and two arm swings using my 24K. I am making improvements. I have "played" sporadically with the Snatch using my 16K but to this point I am trusting the fact that I won’t be snatching in earnest till perhaps the fall. Today I completed 12 sets of on-top-of-the-minute one arm swings. The first eight sets I got ten reps each arm, the last four sets I got eight reps each arm for a total of 224 swings. I realize this isn’t jack shit compared to most of you guys but I’m moving along and feeling great.

So, my long-winded question is what kind of swing numbers start to translate to what can be expected doing the snatch test with the 24K? Are they even related? I felt pretty whipped after today but not completely annhilated (but close:D)

I’m 5′9" 170 lbs. Also, I’m one rung away from completing 5 ladders pressing the 24K. I figure when I hit that it’s time to get the 32K bell and start two-handed swings there in addition to the press. And oh yeah, I still work the TGU and play with CC. I just let my body dictate when I’m ready for the next workout and I don’t follow a seven day cycle. I’m 41 and don’t recover quite as fast as when I was in my 20s.

Thanks for all your help Comrades. This community is extraordinary!
